Our Mission
We believe in the value of a diverse educational community; in a safe and caring environment where all children can learn.
Staff Highlight - Nick Kamenoff - 6th/7th Grade Social Studies
Mr. Kamenoff has been a member of the WLCSD Family for over 20 years. He began his teaching career at Oakley Park in 1997, and joined the Creek Family in 2005.
Mr. Kamenoff is such a positive person, and always has a smile on his face. Mr. Kamenoff is loved by his students, and I truly appreciate all of the extra time that he puts in to ensure that his students are engaged in meaningful and fun learning activities.
THANK YOU , Mr. Kamenoff!

Take Your Parent to Lunch Day - Friday, December 13th
Please follow the link below to RSVP to this event.
If you plan to purchase lunch from our cafeteria, please plan on bringing $4 cash with you. The school lunch program is federally subsidized, and requires that adults be charged a different rate than students. For this reason, all adults must be charged the adult rate. Student accounts can not be charged the adult rate, so any adult planning on purchasing lunch from our cafeteria must have cash (we do not have a credit card machine in our cafeteria).

There are just 2 regular sessions to choose from, Monday, November 18 or Thursday, November 21 and costs $8 to participate.
No you cannot go to more than one per month--we repeat the same cupcakes all week, so you have to wait until next month for more fun.
Additionally, we are going to try an ADVANCED session for those who have attended multiple Cupcake Club dates last year.
Experienced Cupcake Clubbers can try their hand at Candy Houses on Monday, Nov. 25 (there will be additional dates in December) and costs $8 as well.

End of the day pick up procedures (and a reminder about Drop Off Procedures)
Thank you to our parents and community for your patience during our transition to our new pick up procedure. I appreciate the feedback that I have received, and am thankful for the many messages that I have received about how this is a safer pick up routine.
I recognize that this new procedure causes more traffic back ups onto Walnut Lake Rd, and that it is a slower process than our previous procedure. Please know that I made this change for the safety of our kids.
I can not ignore the legitimate safety concerns that have been brought to my attention regarding our previous pick up procedure.
One reality that we deal with here, is that our pick up loop and parking lot are not designed for the several hundred vehicles that pick up students daily. I encourage families to utilize our school buses for transportation if your students are going directly home from school. I understand that many families have appointments, practices, and errands to run after school, but if you do not need to pick up your child please allow them to ride the bus home.
I have attached a PDF document below to explain the new procedure with an overhead map so that you can visualize the new pick up procedure.
