A monitor has two types.
LCD (liquid Crystal display)
CRT (cathode ray tube)
A monitor can connect to either HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
DVI (Digital Video Interactive) VGA (Video Graphics Array).
A monitor may be either monochrome (black and white) or colour (RGB).
LCD is a hardware An electro-optical device used to display digits, characters or images, commonly used in digital watches, calculators, and portable computers.
An electrical device for displaying images by exciting phosphor dots with a scanned electron beam. CRTs are found in computer VDUs and monitor, televisions and oscilloscopes.
The first commercially practical CRT was perfected on 29 January 1901 by Allen B DuMont.
