Principal's Message
Dear Lincoln Families,
I can't believe we have been in school for 3 weeks already! Thank you for ensuring the safety and well being of everyone at the school by self-checking for symptoms, mask wearing, frequent hand washing, and practicing social distancing. Please continue to self-screen your children at home. Parents, caregivers, or guardians should be strongly encouraged to monitor their children for symptoms of illness every day through home-based symptom screening. Please reference the Stay at Home Guidelines below for additional information.
Parents, I need your help! Please ensure that you have completed the online re-enrollment for each student. All families are required to update their information each year. To complete the process, please follow the steps below. We will be having a competition to help ensure every family completes this process. Let's get it done!
We have just finished our school wide assessments for both English Language Arts (iReady and Reading Inventory) and Math (iReady). I will be sharing the results with you soon enough. Once the results are revealed I will also share our school wide goals. I want to encourage families to support our efforts in reaching our goal!
Thank you to all the parents who nominated themselves or someone else to serve on our SSC for the 21-22 and 22-23 school year. We had a total of 8 parents who were nominated. I can not wait to reveal the two candidates who were selected...stay tuned!
Dream Big, Work Hard, Make it Happen!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Perry

California PBIS Gold Award...AGAIN
Lincoln Elementary School began school-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the 2015-2016 school year. PBIS focuses on creating and sustaining school-wide, classroom, and individual systems of support that improve the educational environment for all children. Our aim is to explicitly teach behavior expectations and then recognize the positive behaviors shown by students.
The Lincoln Elementary Leopards believe in living everyday with the core values and positive actions demonstrated in R.O.A.R. ( Responsible, Organized, Accountable and Respectful). These values and behaviors are demonstrated and reinforced throughout the school year and students are encouraged to display them each day. Positive behavior is rewarded through school-wide incentive programs. Consequences are given to students who don’t follow rules and/or expectations for appropriate behavior at school. Expectations for behavior are outlined in a School Wide Behavior Matrix which are followed inside and outside the classroom.
By implementing PBIS, we hope to reduce school and classroom behavior disruptions and educate all students about acceptable school behaviors. By improving the school environment, we hope to increase learning time and promote academic and social success for every student.
