Proof of Residency Changes
Beginning with the 2018-19 school year we will only be requiring returning students in grades 3, 6 and 9 to upload a utility bill. Returning students in all other grades will fill out a form confirming that they still live at the same address, but will not be asked to upload. Students that move, are a Family in Residence, a Minor Living Apart or a Grandparent Clause will still be required to prove residency in person at the campus regardless of grade level.
New Students to the District: these changes do not apply.

From the LT dept: No More Campus-based LT’s
We have noticed that by assigning an LT to a campus and giving campuses a “day of the week,” our teachers are waiting to use technology or seek help until their “day” and frustration when help is needed and it’s NOT their “day” has been expressed. To improve the efficiency of our service, we are now operating solely on a HELP TICKET system. Teachers and principals can log in to IncidentIQ at http://bisd.incidentiq.com and enter a help ticket. An LT will be assigned and assist you with your technology integration needs. You will be able to request an LT if you’d like and if that LT is available, he/she will be assigned. This system will not only route help requests to the first available LT, but we hope will speed up response time, encourage faculty to be intentional about their technology integration, and allow our department to track the types of help requests received (to better plan training based on district need). An email will be sent to all staff soon regarding this change.
Here’s a short video tutorial on how to put in a ticket for Learning Technologies assistance - http://bit.ly/LTHelpTicket

Google Certification Level 1 or Level 2
The LT Dept. is currently offering online, self-paced study cohorts for the Google Certified Educator Level 1 and Level 2 exams. You’ll learn everything you need to know to take the tests, receive resources to help you prepare, and receive personlized feedback and support. We encourage our principals to join a cohort and earn their certification. Please email Heather Sanders to be added to the cohort Google Classroom.
