What an incredible week! We are so excited to be back together again. Our educators and support staff were abuzz all week talking about how wonderful our grade-level classes are. Our specials teachers (art, music, pe, and library) are all so excited to see kids in-person for the first time in 18 months too. Celebrations all around.

A couple of operational pieces: Please read

We are determined to have a successful, in-person year and really need your help. If your child is sick please, please do not send them to school. Screen your children each and every morning. Have questions? Call us. We can work through it together. Please err on the side of caution.

If your child is going to be gone from school for any reason please leave a very detailed message on the attendance line to let us know why. If we don't hear from you I will be calling to know more. Our goal is to keep COVID out of our school and we need your help to do that.

Front Office:

We have new front office staff. Kayla Cole-Wells is our new administrative assistant and Kim Hart is our new health assistant. They are both doing a spectacular job learning their jobs, opening a school year, and managing COVID concerns. Please give these two women grace as they quickly learn their roles.

Mid-Day school pickups;
If you are going to pick up your child from school for whatever reason please let their teacher and me know (erin.conrad@stoughton.k12.wi.us) know ahead of time. When you arrive please park your car in the front circle and call the front office. We will get your children from class. Please plan on time for us to get your students from class.

Your vigilience helps keep our students safe

COVID symptoms? Stay home! We know your student doesn’t want to miss school, but if your student has symptoms of COVID-19, they must stay home to avoid infecting others. Our Self-Screening quicksheet lists COVID symptoms and what to do if your student has one or more. Remember to screen your child for symptoms every morning and night.

Using the Student COVID-19 Form: If a student tests positive for COVID-19, has symptoms of COVID-19 symptoms, or has been identified as a close contact, start by keeping your student at home, calling your school’s attendance line, completing the Student COVID-19 Form, then contacting your health care provider. We will help you through the process.

Back to School Survey

Please fill out the back to school survey so we can get your feedback back to school conferences vs. the open house.

Bridging Brighter Smiles

Bridging Brighter Smiles is a non-profit organization that provides school-based oral hygiene services and education to children. No child has ever been turned away due to a lack of financial resources. Bridging Brighter Smiles will be at Kegonsa on Thursday, September 16th. If you would like your child to be seen, please fill out the enrollment form.
