--====The Revolutionary War====--

Great book, totaly recomend it!
This book is really cool because it gives you info about things that you never would have known about the Revolutionary War. It makes you feel like you are actually in the war! It talks a lot about how the battles went down, and what life was like back then. The best part, in my opinion, is how the book gives you a prospective of the conflict. I would only recommend it for you people that are interested in history though. And you kind of have to know a few, outside things about history as well, to really understand all of it.
Battle of Bunker Hill
The Battle of Bunker Hill (and Breeds Hill) started with an informational leak of plans that Thomas Gage a British general, was going to take over the two hills so he could control Boston a little easier. A group of determined American Minutemen and militia got the information. And beat Thomas Gage and his troops to the hill. Gage stormed the hill and took it over, but losing 1,000 men from his forces. (He had 2,000 Line Infantrymen.)
George Washington
George Washington was a British general that came to America's side at the very beginning of the conflict. He was very skilled in battle, and quickly became an American general. He was a huge help to the war, and later became the first president of the United States. His wife, Martha Washington, was a skilled sewer. She made many wardrobes for the Minuteman and some of the militiamen of the United States!
Hessian Soldiers
Hessian Soldiers were German Mercenaries that were hired illegally to fight for Britain. These men were extremely hard to fight in battle due to their sheer size! Most of these soldiers were required to be at least 6'ft tall! They were also hard to beat because of their strict discipline and order. They usually used flintlock muskets with ringed bayonets on the tips. These elite soldiers are one thing that we had to work around to win the war.
Me!
When I found this book, I had already known quite a bit about this time period. But I wanted to understand a little more. This book answered almost all of my wonders! I love history, and it’s my favorite subject of all. This book really expanded my knowledge in history. Get this book!!
