19 Skate Night 6:30-8:30
28 Chipotle Fundraiser 4:00-8:00pm

1 PTA meeting 6:30 (childcare will be available or kids are welcome to attend)
3 Papa Johns Night
25 50th Day of School Party 2:45-3:45 (you do not need a background check to volunteer)
**The following classrooms DO NOT yet have a room parent that has volunteered to help with the October party***
- All parties will include a snack station, game station and activity/craft station
- Parents may exercise autonomy in planning the stations OR ideas are available
- "Coordinating" involves sending an email asking for donations, asking for two parents to help the day of the event and attending the event

- Parents who helped set up before and clean up after the movie night
- Our awesome custodial staff for all they do to help is get ready for and clean up after events
Show Me the Money...
- Income for August was $2,450.00 (membership sales, spirit wear sales).
- Expenses were $1,093.50 (purchase of spirit wear, field trip deposit, provision of teacher meals on Meet the Teacher Night)
- Field Trips already scheduled: Kindergarten (October 28 to Wonderscope & 3rd grade (February 7 to the School of Economics)
We need volunteers!
- Chairperson positions are still open (please see below which committees are open)
- If managing an entire committee is too much... maybe you could help with just ONE event (such as Art Show, APEX Run, Santa Shop, Restaurant Nights)
- All the activities for the year are planned and just need to be executed with some details ironed out
- Middle-School and High-School aged kiddos will happily be available to play games with your kiddos so you can focus solely on the PTA meetings

Family Nights
- Chairperson needed
- These events are already planned
- Just need to be a point of contact and facilitate events
Events include end of year BBQ/Art Show, Mom, and Dad events
- If taking over this ENTIRE committee is too much, please volunteer to head up or help with just ONE event

Volunteer Background Checks
- You must be a screened volunteer to participate in WatchDOGS and to be a field trip chaperone - Basically if you will be alone with students.
- You do not have to be a screened volunteer to come to your child’s class party or help during Field Day, help with PTA events, attend PTA meetings - Basically if a teacher or staff member will be present at all times.
You should have received an email from Leslie Allen with more details on this policy.

Fill out this google form to be included. Birthday party invitations cannot be sent to school so this is a good way to communicate with other students and parents.

- Typically we have a new shirt design each year.
- We had so many left over from last year we needed to sell we decided to stick with the same design two years in a row.

Box Tops
Find these on all kinds of products in your home
They expire so please check dates
Please put your students' names on their bag/sheet of box tops so they can get credit for them.
Students get a prize for every 50 box tops they turn in.
