Wimmer's Weekly
English IV, Yearbook, Technical Writing/Writing Skills
Week Seven (October 16-20, 2017)
Monday: Favorite Team/Jersey
Tuesday: PJ Day
Wednesday: Twin Day
Thursday: Tourist Day
Friday: School Spirit (Unicorn Blue)
Aside from the fun to be had during the week, we are working hard in room 115. English IV students are reading Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, Writing Skills/Technical Writing students are reading some fun selections with twists and turns to help them better understand plot development, and Yearbook staff members are well into their first deadline.
English IV
On Thursday and Friday the students will write themselves into the prologue by creating a visual representation of what they might be like as a character in the story. They will have to view themselves through the author's eyes and write a short description.
Friday they will also take a vocabulary quiz over the words we learned for the prologue. There will be a set created in the app Quizlet.
Technical Writing/Writing Skills
Wednesday they will be given a new story, "The Open Window," which we will tackle in the same manner as "The Lottery."
