Weekly Announcements - Week of April 11th, 2016

Twin Day: Monday is Twin Day! Students can dress like another student or wear their favorite MN Twins gear to celebrate the home opener.

MCA Testing: It is officially MCA testing time. Our class will have the reading test this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast on testing days.

Child Abuse Prevention Month: April is child abuse prevention month. The Blue Ribbon hunt forms went home last Monday and are due by the end of the month. Students who complete the Blue Ribbon hunt will be invited to an ice cream social.

AR Points: Students should have their 2 AR points by Thursday, April 21st.

Clothing Drive: We have a great opportunity for you to clean out your closets this spring! During the month of April we will be collecting gently used clothing and accessories to be donated to a local thrift store. We will be working towards raising money for our AR store! You can start sending in clothes at anytime. Clothes can be brought in to the classroom or dropped off at the office. The class who donates the most clothes in the school will earn a pizza party.

Field Trip Permission Slip: We have a couple of field trips coming up in May. There is no cost for the field trips. Please sign and send back the permission slip by Friday, April 29th, 2016. Also, we will be bringing chaperones with for both. Please note if you are interested. We will draw for chaperones on Friday, April 29th.

Silent Auction: North's silent auction is being held on Friday, May 6, 2016. This year, our pod will be creating an 'arts and crafts' themed basket. We are interested in items that are new, unique, and creative. We will be collecting items until Friday, April 29th. If you prefer, you can make a cash donation and we will gladly do the shopping.
