A Letter From Dr. Carey
A Letter From Dr. Carey Dec 17, 2021
Dear Enumclaw School District Community,
The Holiday Season
On Wednesday of this week, I had the opportunity to work with several fellow Rotarians to prepare meals to serve to members of our community at the Enumclaw Senior Center. It was a wonderful way to spend my morning, working in fellowship to serve members of our community and spread holiday cheer. While most of us are busy with the fun and excitement associated with the holiday season, it’s easy to forget that this can also be a season filled with stress and isolation for others.
In keeping with the premise of our “kindness” campaign, I hope that each of us will make the time to reach out to our friends and neighbors. Whether it is lending a helping hand with chores around the house or just spending a little of your time engaging in conversation about what makes that person you’re with special and unique to you, I hope this is something that you are planning to do.
I also hope that your plans include time to relax your body and mind, refresh your spirit, and reflect on those things that have brought you the most joy in the last 365 days. Despite those things that have presented challenges to us all, there still are a great deal of things to be thankful for.
Wishing you and those closest to you a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
Shaun

Voluntary COVID Testing Opportunities
The Voluntary PCR COVID Testing Program Has Returned for All Enumclaw School District Staff
In collaboration with the state Department of Health, our school district will continue to participate in a state-funded program for voluntary COVID-19 screening and testing that will help contain the virus, protect our communities, and keep students and teachers healthy and safe.
This testing protocol fits into our larger strategy to contain and control the virus. We have adapted our operational practices to allow for proper countermeasures. Each precaution we take is an added layer of protection, and when used together, dramatically decreases the risk.
Testing Opportunities for Students and Families
The King County COVID testing site located next to EMS will remain open and will continue to provide access to PCR COVID testing for students and the community. For additional information on the testing site or to make an appointment please visit the link below.
