CMS Students In Action

Robotics Class

The students in Mr. Rose’s robotics class are off to a good start in the newly designed class. Using Lego Mindstorms robot kits, the students were quick to assemble their robots and learn how to get them up and running. Using the Lego NXT programming software, students are able to organize various commands that they wish to have their robot execute. In the early phase of this class, Mr. Rose's students are learning the individual programming blocks before moving on to any big challenges.

In similar news, CMS will offer a robotics club as part of the CMS Trucker University. This offering will give these students and others an opportunity to spend more time tinkering in the field of robotics.

Safety Reminders From The Clintonville Police Department

School is open again and The Clintonville Police Department wants to send some safety reminders to those driving to and from our schools:

  • There is a lot of construction going on in our city. Please be aware of this and drive safe around workers and construction equipment. ON your way to school, leave earlier if necessary and take a safe route of travel to school. Please follow the detoure routes when appropriate.
  • Be aware of the speed limits in school zones and follow directions given by our crossing guards.
  • It is against the law to text while driving. This is also a safety hazard.
  • Please wear your seatbelts at all times.

Being aware of these situations and driving safe in our community may help make a difference in saving the life of a child.

Access Student Information

You can access your students' attendance, grades, and other information via Skyward's Family Access any time and anywhere. Just use Skyward Family Access.

After School Pickup

We ask that parents picking up their children after school in the side parking lot by the playground please remember to park in the back two rows of that parking lot. We have many children running between busses and have had several close calls. Please talk with your child and make sure they stay on the sidewalk until they reach the back of the parking lot. We appreciate your help as we try to keep our students safe.

Trucker University

Trucker University will start at the middle school on Monday October 4th.

Check out the website for forms and information.

Please remember that you are responsible for damage to your child's Chromebook. We would also remind you that damage to school property is not a school fee that can be waived. Talk to your students and make sure they are taking care of their device.
