Thunderbird Weekly
Week of January 13
Principal
I would like to begin by wishing you all a Happy New Year filled with many successes and continued progress. During winter break, I hope you had the chance to catch up with family and friends and enjoyed some rest and relaxation. I certainly spent some time reflecting on 2024 and about the work and opportunities that lie ahead in 2025.
Our mission at RFK continues with the commitment in providing a climate of respect and fairness in which all students meet their full potential and experience academic excellence every day.
I am excited to begin our work for the second half of the school year to ensure that learning continues. As we ring in the new year, we see this as an opportunity to check in with students and families to ensure that our students are on-track, prepared, and ready for the second half of the year.
As always, I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering dedication and thank you for your continued support.
May this new year bring us all renewed energy and inspiration to achieve our goals together. Let's make 2025 a year of growth, collaboration, and success for everyone in our community.
The following are important reminders:
- Monday- January 13- Staff Development- Teachers, please report to the cafeteria at 7:40 and bring your laptops. (See attached agenda below)
- Tuesday- January 14- Beginning of 2nd semester. (Attached is the 1st day procedures)
Counselors
- Counseling department will be making schedules as needed. Please do not send students to the counseling office for schedule changes. Instruct them to fill out a "Request to see counselor" form (with Ms. Jasso) on their own time and the designated counselor will call them to the office as soon as possible.
Learning Director
Hello Teachers,
Just a friendly reminder that our Instructional Focus for the next two weeks will be on Checking for Understanding. If you have any questions or need additional support, please feel free to reach out to me or any one of our instructional coaches.
Thanks,
Uriel Robles Jr
