A Reflection from Dr. Mullenschlader
This is one of my favorite times of the year. Of course, the Blues are in full swing (and winning!), but Thanksgiving is here. Thanksgiving is a time to do nothing but enjoy family, be thankful for what we have, and EAT! We all love to eat and Thanksgiving has some of the best foods of the year to consume. For us here at St. Charles Borromeo School it is also a time to step back and reflect on our first semester. I know that I have only been here since July, but I already feel at home as the school principal. I love the community and I am grateful to be here with these amazing teachers. Thank you parents for supporting the school the mission to walk this journey of Christ together. The next time you hear from me, it will be the Advent season. We will be preparing our hearts for Jesus to come to us. So much Joy is to come! May God bless your Thanksgiving Day and we will see you all at Parent Teacher Conferences next week.
This past week, we received the achievement results from the Catholic Math League. Dr. Hardy leads the students who take part in this contest. Our students who competed are in third grade through eighth grade. We had 33 students who completed the assessment. You can see the full results in the attachments below. As a brief summary, I am proud to let you know that our students scored exceptionally well. Our 4th grade is second out of 37 schools nationally and grade 3 is 5th ranked nationally. We also had some exceptional individual achievements. Thank you to Dr. Hardy for her leadership in this contest. We will continue to update you throughout the year.
