The Panorama SEL Screener, administered to all students in grades 3-5, will be given during the window of March 20-April 6. Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to preview the Panorama survey questions on the CMS website starting on March 1, 2023. To officially opt out a student from participating in the spring Panorama survey, parents or guardians should email Mrs. Stanley (laylaj.stanley@cms.k12.nc.us) by 2pm on March 13th to opt-out. Previously submitted requests for opting out of the fall administration will not carry over, thus, a new request is required.

Art: Stained Glass Expert!

Paul Nutziana came and demonstrated stained glass techniques with Mrs. Peele’s art classes on Monday. He also created stained glass piece of a Lion for our school! Students learned how to problem solve by using geometry and art along with trade skills such as soldering and making glass.

Our Title I Family and Community Advisory provides families with an opportunity to share feedback and gain resources / strategies to continue supporting their child’s learning at home. This group serves as a district network in which families can engage in conversations and connect with other families in the district. This council provides an opportunity for our CMS families’ voices to be heard. Support us in getting the word out to the families in your school community about our Title I Family and Community Advisory Council. We want representatives from each Title I school to be a part of the council so that they can share what is discussed and learned back with the school community.
