Watch this bilingual video for details/Vea este video bilingue para mas detalles:
What does community at Witch Hazel mean to you? Calling all students and families to participate in this community challenge!
What is this? An inclusive art challenge! All Witch Hazel students and their families are invited to think about what community means to them and make a visual art piece. Submissions can be individual or the collective work of your household community - include the whole family!
What will happen to the art?
All submissions will be put into a virtual gallery online so our community can view and celebrate together.
One submission will be selected each month as a feature in the school newsletter.
Once we return to the building, Photos of all submissions will be printed and put together in a display celebrating the strength, persistence and cultural wealth of our community.
How can I help my child come up with ideas? Possible topics you can discuss with your child are:
How does our community learn, grow, and connect from a distance?
What does standing up for our community look like to you?
How can we represent our diversity and our ability to come together?
Why does making our community visible matter?
How do we show our strength and support for each other as a community?

Hello, Hola
Hi families, & friends,
How are you? As a fellow parent, the struggle is real. Maintaining our patience as our kids long to visit with friends, while we wish we could visit with our close extended family and friends is hard. I feel it too. Hang in there, we are in this together! Be well and reach out for support, we are here to help as best we can as quick as we can. Let's work hard to wear a face covering, limit the number in our social circle and wash hands frequently-this will pass and one day soon, we will be together under the Witch Hazel roof celebrating our resilience.
Hola familias y amigos:
