We are excited to announce that state officer applications are open. We hope you will promote to your students and encourage them to be a part of the The Ultimate Leadership Experience. Information for candidates can be found at: https://www.infccla.org/state-leaders.html
Candidates need to review the leadership handbook and officer application.

CTE Funding Update
The meet for funding of foundational courses is December 27, 2020. Your efforts are making a difference. Keep up the good work and continue the following:

We will need representatives to speak about our value on that day. Please e-mail if you can attend and plan to speak on December 27, 2020

E-mail and call your representatives, board members, elected officials. Keep writing and calling.
Invite them to your classroom. Please make sure if you do this that you are highlighting our best traits and value of what we teach. Ex. Don't be baking cookies in nutrition, etc. Think about all the important things we teach and the relationship to employability skills
State Board members were told to learn about these classes so they can make a decision. Please reach out to state board members and members of the Governor's Workforce Cabinet to make changes to these proposals and to educate people about the value of our programs.

FCCLA Officers Promoting FCS during Partner Visits
FCCLA officers spent the weekend representing the student in Family and Consumer Sciences. FCCLA officers met with important partners with a large voice to impact our field. These opportunities to meet and educate others about the value of Family and Consumer Sciences is only possible because of schools being involved in FCCLA. Culinary Network Meeting
The Culinary Network Meeting will be January 17, 2020 in downtown Indianapolis.
Join other culinary teachers to learn about the following:
- Tour JW Marriott and learn about their culinary and hospitality opportunities for your students.
- Tour Omni hotel and learn about their culinary and hospitality opportunities for your students.
- A special session on social media marketing for your programs will be featured at the network meeting
- Learn about new ideas for culinary education
- Explore the Certification's that ProStart offers and learn more about achieving those
- Network with other Culinary teachers
- Discover ways to implement effective WBL

FCS Spring Conference
One Indiana School will win $500 - enter the National FACTS program to be eligible
Earn Cash For Your FACTS Project as Your State's Winning Project FCCLA is partnering with Ford Driving Skills for Life and Governors Highway Safety Association to award the top FACTS project in each state a $500 cash award. Simply conduct a FACTS project during the school year and submit a program award application by March 1, 2020. You will automatically be entered to win! All state-level winners receive $500 and are considered for a national award! When you summarize your project, including major activities, resources used, partnerships and collaborations--be sure to indicate that you utilized Ford Driving Skills for Life's The Academy program to assist with your FACTS project and describe any impact the resources had on your project! This total section on the evaluation is worth 20 points!
Promote Access to the Internet and win money
Access from AT&T National FCCLA is proud to partner with Access from AT&T again this year to bring affordable internet access to families across the country who receive SNAP benefits. Chapters from these 21 states are encouraged to participate in this FCCLA Community Service project. The first 48 chapters to participate and submit a brief report by April 15, 2020 will receive $250. By engaging in the FCCLA and AT&T Access program partnership efforts, your chapter is assisting in improving the quality of life for members of your community. Click here to learn more.
