Las Brisas News
We thank Jackie for her many years of dedication and loyalty to Las Brisas, its community, and its students. We are so thrilled for the adventure that Jackie is on, and know she will always have a home at Las Brisas. We are also excited to welcome Nurse Michelle to our office and our campus.
A Note From Nurse Jackie
Wow I cannot believe that I have been a Las Brisas Star for over 26 years! I have even cared for some students and their parents. What a wonderful and rewarding experience!
To the Las Brisas staff, students, families, and community, I have been given the opportunity to serve our district in a new position that of DVUSD District Nurse Coordinator full time. While this is a great new adventure, it is one of sadness as I must leave my position as School Nurse at Las Brisas. A special thank you to our students, parents, staff, and the community of Las Brisas for allowing me to care for and serve you during this time. It has truly been my pleasure and honor. While I will no longer have the same position, I will be around as I will be training other school nurses in our district.
Las Brisas will be in great hands as an experienced, competent, and kind registered nurse will assume the role as School Nurse of Las Brisas.
Thank you again for the memories. I will miss all of you who have so positively impacted my life as I hope that I have been a positive influence on all that I have met over the years. Above all, I hope that I have positively contributed to the success of our students through the promotion of good health, well-being and always encouraging excellence for an extraordinary life. Thanks Again!
Introducing Nurse Lange
My name is Michelle Lange and I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Las Brisas Elementary team as your school nurse.
My husband and I have lived in the community since 2008, and have four daughters currently attending Las Brisas. We absolutely love our school and taking part in our community.
For the past eight years of my nursing career, I have been with Arrowhead Community Hospital in the Women and Infants Department. Here, I was entrusted in delivering newborns and caring for families at their start. Advocating and offering my support to families has always brought me great joy.
Before my experience in Women and Infant Services, I worked in a comprehensive inpatient nursing facility as well as a neurological intensive care unit. It was with these employers that I learned that I could survive a night shift! It’s a super power, I’m sure of it.
Outside of my passion for healthcare, I love football, baseball, watching my children overcome obstacles, sunshine, and a good jolt of caffeine. I love helping others. I’m a member of our PTSA and an active parent volunteer. I also lead a girl scout troop of 20 wonderful little ladies right here in our community.
I have huge shoes to fill, following Nurse Jackie, and I am looking forward to joining Las Brisas and getting to know our Stars, parents, and faculty members that much more!
See you soon,
We will continue to use All Things EQ for our Social / Emotional Program at Las Brisas. Please sign up for the parent newsletter, to keep informed of this week's topic and skills.
