BHS Students Honored - A Lilly Scholar and Team 2025 Rising Stars!
The Hendricks County Community Foundation has announced that BHS Team 2024's Aahan Bajpai is a Lilly Endowment Community Scholar recipient! Congratulations to BHS senior Eyob Asfaha, who was also a Hendricks County finalist. Lilly Endowment Community Scholars are known for their community involvement, academic achievement, character, and leadership. Each Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides for full tuition for four years at any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university. Aahan is president of BHS’ National Honor Society and HOSA chapters, a Scout, and part of the Speech and Debate team and hopes to attend Purdue University or the University of Notre Dame to study biology as a pre-medical student. He aspires to open his own clinic in the future, allowing him to give back to the community that shaped him.
Each year the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) recognizes students currently in the 11th grade, based on their academic achievement. Way to go Mya Gustrowsky, Mary Welde, Yves Guelce, and Gavin Coggan!

BCSC Celebrates
Join us in celebrating our African American staff during February's Black History Month. All year, BCSC has been honoring our staff during the Library of Congress' national recognition months. Thank you to these staff who have given permission for us to honor them in this space.
BCSC Food and Clothing Pantry
The BCSC Food and Clothing Pantry operates through a partnership with Gleaners Food Bank. Thanks to the hard work of community and staff volunteers and Applied Skills students in the Collaborators for Success program at BHS, the pantry continues to serve many families in Brownsburg. BCSC families have also contributed donations to help make the pantry a great resource for our community.
The pantry will serve families again TODAY (2/1) from 3pm-5:30pm in a drive thru setting and always on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of the month. Visitors can pull up to door #7 at the ALPHA/Harris Academy building, 725 C South Green Street.
If you have questions about the pantry, please contact Tracy Damone at tdamone@brownsburg.k12.in.us.
