Overdue Book Return
Please return overdue books to the Jupiter Media Center by Friday, December 11th
Calling all students with overdue books! We still have 438 books checked out from the media center for the 2019-2020 school year. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, students didn’t have a chance to return books prior to the end of the school year. If you still have an overdue book, please return it ASAP. Overdue notices are currently being sent home and will be communicated to ELearners via your teacher. You can return books to the following locations:
Book return locations:
Media Center
Classroom Teacher
The Front Office
We will begin checking books out to all of our face to face students, following district guidelines, in December. All returned books will go through a 72 hour quarantine period and book handling precautions will be taken to ensure everyone’s safety. In addition, all students may continue to check out online books through BPS SORA. The BPS SORA app is accessible through your child’s Launchpad and can also be accessed via a smart phone or tablet.
Thank you for your assistance in helping us return all books to our library collection so that they can be enjoyed by all students!
Eagle Scout Project
Jupiter Elementary recently benefited from an Eagle Scout project. Cody Reynoso, an Eagle Scout candidate and a senior at Eau Gallie High School, is a member of Troop 285. He planned, organized and supervised a landscaping project at Jupiter that really spruced up the campus. Cody guided several volunteers from Eau Gallie High, troop members and adults in completing the project. He applied for donations to Walmart on Malabar Road who provided a gift card to purchase mulch and to the Sarno Road landfill, which provided two truckloads of mulch. Volunteers trimmed shrubbery, removed weeds, cleaned up trash/paint chips and spread mulch. Jupiter is so appreciative of Cody and his project.

Partners in Education
A great big thank you to all our Partners in Education and community members who support Jupiter Elementary.
Several partners and friends donated clothing, underwear, socks and shoes to our “oops” closet. These included the Kiwanis Club of Melbourne, Mrs. Stong, Mrs. Turner and her friends, eAngels, Gerding Engineering Corporation, Running Zone, Paul Davis Restoration of the Space Coast, Maronda Homes, and others.
We also received donations of candy from Walmart, Paul Davis Restoration of the Space Coast, and Gerding Engineering Corporation.
Several partners donated reusable water bottles for our students – Joe Raley, State Farm, Community Credit Union and AIG/Valic.
New City Church treated everyone to a yummy Italian themed lunch from Michelli’s to show us some love.
School supplies to replenish our cabinets were provided by Walmart on Malabar Road and Launch Federal Credit Union donated some swag for our teachers and students.
