Mrs. Pierce’s Principal Message
Last Thursday and Friday we enjoyed our parent-teacher conferences. It is always a pleasure to partner with you to bring out the best in your child! It is vital between the school and the family to work toward this goal. From the beginning, the parents are the first teachers to their child. We are so thankful that you have entrust your child to us as we work to provide a quality Catholic education for him/her. I appreciate the sacrifices each of you make to send your students to Saint Maria Goretti Catholic School. We are so blessed to work with your students and you.
In Partnership,
Mrs. Pierce
Prayer of Remembrance during November
Each year during the month of November, the Church offers us the opportunity to remember in a special way our deceased relatives and friends. There are books of remembrance in the church and we have one at the school. As a community, we would like to offer our prayers for the deceased loved ones of our alumni, benefactors, friends and family members. Your loved ones will be remembered and prayed for at our SMG School Masses, during weekly adoration throughout the month of November, and during morning prayers.

Christmas Store Update
Christmas is just around the corner, which means that we are gearing up for the SMG Christmas Store. What is the Christmas Store? During the second week of December, students will be given the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts for loved ones during a scheduled time slot with their class. All gifts will be neatly wrapped so that they are ready to go under the tree. Information sheets will be sent home with all students in the next couple of weeks.
We will need lots of Elves and other helpers to make this event successful; including set-up, gift wrappers, cashier, floater / re-stocker, clean up, and after-Christmas bargain shoppers. Please visit our SignUp Genius page using the link below or via the SMG School website.
You must be current on Safe & Sacred training to volunteer. You will receive SPIRIT hours for your time. No pre-school aged helpers please. Questions? Contact Christmas Store chairs Jessica Geisel (817) 691-4623 or Andrea Freeman (817) 721-8771.
