BrightBytes Survey
Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational data analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning. We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our questionnaire.
Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in our students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy and they will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
The last day to complete this questionnaire is Monday, October 16, 2017.
Please go to here.
Thank you for taking part in this important initiative!
Project Lead The Way
Kindness is a Choice!
Flexible Seating
Arrival and Dismissal Safety
- New bus location has made bus loading and off-loading much safer for students.
- Parents have discontinued walking across traffic on Pearson Ranch. Rd.
- Car rider has additional staff in the back which has improved the flow of traffic.
Thank you for partnering with our school for the safety of not only your child, but for the safety of all 1,100 students, 100 staff, and hundreds of visitors daily. We appreciate every single parent who stepped up to help, spread the word about safety, and adjusted their own routines to comply with campus procedures. England parents rock!

Embedding Character Education
LEOPARDS: Loyalty Empathy Open-Mindedness Perseverance Appreciation Resourcefulness Disciplined Service
During October we are highlighting the LEOPARDS trait of Empathy (the ability to understand and share the feelings of another). An excellent way to embed character education throughout the school day is by sharing quality literature. If you are looking for book ideas for reading at home with your child, this list is a good start.
Empathy goes hand-in-hand with Service. We need your support with our two current service projects. McNeil Learning Community Underwear Drive for the RRISD Clothes Closet. (Please refer to the Student Council News below!) The England Art Club Houses For Houston project will benefit families affected by recent natural disasters. Contact Art Teacher Suzanne West to support Houses for Houston!
Art Club News
With recycled pieces of matt board, colored sharpies, and artistic imaginations, the Elsa England 4th and 5th grade Art Club has been busy creating Houses for Houston. The tiny houses have been covered with a clear finish and turned into magnets. They are being sold for $5 each and all proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity/Houston.
Student Council News
Student Council is hosting an underwear drive from now until October 12. All donations will benefit the Round Rock ISD Clothes Closet. They are in need of new underwear donations for boys and girls in sizes from 4-18. Please donate if you are able. The top 2 classes will each receive a copy of the new book Creepy Pair of Underwear! by Aaron Reynolds.
Please contact Angela Holcek or Stephanie Lara with any questions
