I spoke to students about what it means to select Pinkston PREP as their school of choice; their selection to be a part of our program is a choice to be a part of greatness. As I reflect, the same applies to us. Excellence doesn't happen by accident, it happens because of our dedication, our commitment, our work ethic, and our planning. I know you are working hard. Currently Working On
- Teachers work in collaborative planning teams to examine critically and discuss standards-based learning expectations for students.
- These teams select evidence-based instructional strategies for meeting the standards.
- Teams develop a common lesson plan incorporating the selected strategies and identify the type of student work each teacher will use to demonstrate learning.
- Teachers implement the planned lesson, record successes and challenges, and gather evidence of student learning.

We will have mock data assessment information to share with you all at Friday's Huddle. Ensure you are putting your best foot forward and are committing to be the best version of yourself. Parents,
Report cards will be distributed at our mandatory parent meetings. Please review the calendar for dates and times. We will have a junior parent meeting and the freshman and sophomore group will meet on the same day. Attendance for credit projects were due last week. Students who failed to submit their projects and complete their hours will have to repeat the course.

Transportation and Bus Routes:
I want to apologize for the challenges we have been facing with transportation. Please know that we are continuing to work closely with Transportation Services to ensure our students are making it home safely and communication is clear. Pinkston Transportation
These routes are our regular scheduled bus routes. These routes ensure students are making it to Pinkston High School and are picking up students at 4:15 PM.
These routes are additinal bus routes provided for students needing to stay for tutoring. These routes ensure students are making it home AFTER tutoring ends. The buses arrive to Pinkston at 5:45 PM to pickup students.

Pinkston Dance Ensemble
The Pinkston Dance Ensemble was selected to attend a live performance at the Wyly Theater as part of the Dallas Black Dance Theater's Black Cultural Awareness Series.
