Social Responsibility Focus for September- RESPONSIBILITY
One way to show responsibility is to be on time to school each day!
Talk to your child about ways they can be responsible at home or share with them ways you show responsibility each day and help them make connections to the importance of this life skill.
Bus Riders Must Have Bus Cards to Ride
It has now been a couple of weeks since school began, and all our bus riding students have received bus cards. Bus drivers have now been informed that every student must have a bus card to ride on the bus. For safety purposes our students swipe on and off the bus. This helps us track a student's whereabouts if needed.
Bus Drivers have been instructed not to allow students on the bus without a bus card.
If your child is a returning bus rider from last year and did not return their bus card, then they will need to purchase a new one for $5. This can be done at the front office.
If your child is new to district and did not receive a bus card this year, or you have any questions, please contact Avril at 520 209 8002.
Mileage Club and Volunteering Opportunity
Thanks to many of our parent volunteers, VV has the opportunity to give ALL our students a fun, safe and active time where they can walk/jog/run around the lower field gathering miles as they go.
If you are interested in volunteering outside of the classroom, Mileage Club is a great opportunity to get involved, AND it is only a couple of hours every Thursday during our lunch time - 11 am til 1 pm.
If you are interested or would like more information please plan on attending our volunteer meeting on Thursday 9/12 at 8:30 am (in the Kaleidoscope Room).
Reminder Bilingual Bingo Night is Thursday 9/12, 6 -7 pm.
Limited space is available for this event, do not forget to RSVP using this link: http://evite.me/x3fSrhDvnP
