Reminder: requests for payment regarding HB 396, Paid Professional Hours for Certified Educators, is due TODAY, December 5, 2022. To obtain payment, complete the form emailed to you from Chaela McDonald for your administrators approval. Once complete, you’ll obtain the funds on December 16, 2022. Our district STEM Fair will be held on February 10th from 4-7pm at Centennial Middle School, and school fairs are getting underway. We invite you to use the posters found on the employee website here to encourage your students to participate in STEM Fair. Students have opportunities to win prizes and even college scholarships!

“Finding Home” includes an interactive tour of Roots of Knowledge (storytelling, poetry, mindfulness exercises, games, etc) followed by an art making activity. The field trip program is rooted in Utah State Core Curriculum Standards and can currently accommodate up to 70 students at a time. We’ve been given a grant by the Larry H. Miller Foundation, so groups who come to participate in our pilot program will be reimbursed for all bus fees. Learn more on the employee website.

Hello from East Bay Post High. We are a post-secondary school for students with severe disabilities. We want to assemble “Keep Me Warm” kits and “Bags of Toilet Paper” to donate to Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry. To reach this goal we need your help in gathering the materials. The Utah Legislature has allocated funding to the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) to use to incentivize educators across the state to achieve endorsements in the STEM subjects. The Ultimate Robot Competition challenges teams of students to create a robot from an Ultimate Robot Kit. Students are not meant to follow the plans exactly, but instead must modify (engineer) what they have to accomplish a task. Visit the employee website to learn more and sign up.
