Kiss the Pig!
Because the goal was reached, Mr. Schreiber had to kiss a pig!
Running Club 5K
This was another great year of running club! We were lucky to have 74 members in our running club this year! We were also very lucky with the weather and were able to be outside every session. On May 20th, we hosted our running club 5K. We all were so impressed with how hard our runners worked and how much they grew. We wanted to say a big thank you to all of the families and staff members who sent in items or came to help make this event a success. Also, thank you to all of the spectators who came to cheer on our runners. It was very motivating to have so many people cheering us on!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Schick, Mrs. Palm, and Mrs. Hakes
Grow Day "Art from the Heart"
Meadow View 4th graders worked with artist: Ann Smith for this year’s GROW DAY! They worked on: “Art from the Heart,” by first learning about the human heart, mindfulness, meditative breathing, and drumming to the sound of our heart beat. They then focused on how the heart can make us feel different emotions and how we can create those feelings within our artwork. They worked on group murals which focused on a feeling and drawing by each individual 4th grader. The murals will be on display during their Spring Concert!
This collaboration is possible because of a GROW Day grant from: The Imagine A Day, Courtney Bella Foundation and ORBIS Corporation. GROW Day is a new initiative meant to create collaborative art installations with students and artists working and learning together; building community, coherence, and connections. Thank you to Ann Smith, The Imagine A Day Foundation, ORBIS Corporation, and Meadow View Elementary Art Teacher, Kristin Bunker for giving this opportunity to our students!
Boosterthon Survey
Meadow View Families,
With the wrap up of our 3rd year hosting a Boosterthon event, the PTO, would like to take this opportunity to have you share your honest feedback about the Boosterthon program. This survey will only take a few moments, your responses are anonymous and the data collected will be useful for the future of our fundraising events. As always if you have any questions please feel free to email the PTO.
