Room Parent Needed
Last night at Curriculum Night I mentioned that we need a room parent for our class. The help wanted sheet that was at your seat had a spot to sign up for it and we didn't have anyone who wanted to take this on. I know not everyone was here last night and I hate to beg but we really need a room parent or a couple of parents that can work together. All kindergarten room parents work together to plan the 2 parties we have during the year. There will be a room parent meeting where you will learn all the ins and outs. I promise it is not a lot of work.
If you would be available to help our class out and be our room parent or parents please email me and let me know.
Thank you so much!!

Mrs. McDaniel Wishlist
This group of parents has been SO sweet and considerate! I've been asked by many of you if there's anything we need for our classroom this year. While the district provides us with the necessary curriculum materials for our students, every teacher always has a wish list of items she believes would be extra beneficial to enhance the first year of school experience for your child.
Please understand there is absolutely no obligation whatsoever to purchase anything since our classroom will function perfectly fine with or without them... this is merely a wish list.
Thanks so much for your generous support!!

Family Friday Lunch-- NEW CHANGES THIS YEAR!!!
Background Check
New for the 2019-20 school year, CISD is using an application process for all volunteers in the District. In order to upgrade the security of your personal information, you will be required to fill out an application (setting up a new secure user name and password) and background form. This user name and password will be used again each year you complete the form. Volunteers are a valuable part of our educational team, and we appreciate all you do!
Please follow these steps to complete your Volunteer Background Check:
- Visit www.coppellisd.com/volunteer
- Click on “Volunteer Application and Background Check Forms”
- Then, follow the “New User? Click here to register prompts.” Note, everyone is a new user in this system and MUST set up a new account. Previous Coppell ISD logins and passwords will not work with this new system. Once you set up an account, you can use this user name and password each year for your Volunteer Background Check.
- Follow the directions to set up an account and complete the form.
Interested in helping in the office or classroom of your child's school on a regular basis? Are you accompanying or chaperoning a group of students on a field trip, weekend camp outing, helping with PTO events, or chaperoning at a dance? To be eligible to volunteer on any of the CISD campuses, you must complete a Criminal History Background Check. Only ONE form is needed per volunteer each year, even if volunteering for multiple campuses or students. A Criminal History Background Check must be completed EACH school year for all volunteers. Please make sure you have completed the form a week in advance before you volunteer.
