Keeping you Informed
I hope everyone had a great long weekend. We are off into the long haul to Spring Break which luckily is only about 6 weeks. As we are on the back end of February we all know that springtime and March can bring challenges with behavior. I know our staff does an amazing job of using a variety of instructional strategies that not only engage students but keep them active throughout the lesson. I attached an article about Project-Based Learning and how to start a project. One another note the new fencing and exits should be completed today. There are new push bar exits going to the field house and out to Casa Loma near the bike cage. This will allow for a more secure campus during the day and fast access for PE and the portables to exit campus in an emergency.
Site Visit- As a reminder that this Thursday I will be visiting classes with our Middle School Principals and Keith Carmona during 1st and 2nd period.
5forALL Focus
Each week I would like to highlight a technique or strategy that is part of 5forALL.
This week we should look at Attentive Listening Tasks for students. Below is an article about active listening by Kate Kinsela.
