Grading Guidance for Middle School Students:
Per the direction of the Oregon Department of Education - Due to Oregon’s school closure and distance learning, grades for term 3 will be reported on your student’s report card as P (Pass) or INC (Incomplete). This change will be in effect through the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. Students will be given opportunities in the coming school year to work to turn Incompletes (INC) into Pass (P) grades per further detailed guidance in the fall.
If your student is taking a middle school course for high school credit (such as Algebra 1 or Spanish) they will be graded with a P (Pass) or INC (Incomplete) in accordance with all high school students across the state. Grades for these courses will show up on the high school transcript as a Pass or Incomplete and will not impact your student’s high school GPA.
