Rolling Hills Elementary
Weekly Newsletter - November 8, 2019
Hello RHE families,
I hope that you had a wonderful week!
The cold weather is here! With the colder temperature, please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside weather. Unless the weather is extreme (rain or excessive cold, 22 degrees or below), children will have recess outside.
We are looking forward to Council Rock Education week. Please see below for specific details.
Enjoy the weekend!
Sam

RHE Literacy Days
Nonfiction Day 11/6
I Love To Write Day 11/15
Our RHE Literacy Community continues to blossom each and every day. In the month of November, students will share their love of writing with others and enjoy nonfiction texts during Library. In addition, students will hear from a real-life author/illustrator, Bryan Collier. I Love to Write day was founded in 2002 by a Delaware-based author John Riddle, a nonfiction and self-help writer, to get kids writing in schools and encourage adults to rekindle an old dream. As adults, it is important to lead by example and show our children that writing is a way to express yourself. Write a poem, letter, greeting card, essay, short story-the possibilities are endless!
Before and After School Access
Please remember that students and parents do not have access to the building before or after school for security reasons. We still have students in the building for clubs and activities. If students forget an item, they can retrieve it the next school day. Champions parents and students are not permitted to the classrooms in the evening or in the morning before school begins.

In today's world, there are many reasons that students carry cellular telephones, but we have to collectively remind students about their appropriate use. Please see the Student-Parent Handbook for more information.
