EVENTS LEADING UP TO THE REVOLUTION
The first event leading up to the revolution was the Proclamation of 1763.This act banned British settlement west of the Appalachian mountains.The colonists were angered and they started questioning British policies.The next act was the Sugar Act, it taxed colonists for imported sugar and molasses.This outraged the colonists,in protest of the act they came up with the slogan,"NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION". The next act leading up to the revolution was the Quartering Act
