Reminders for the Week:

*Please keep our 7th graders, students from other classes, and children from our parish PREP program Confirmation candidates in your prayers today as they attend their Confirmation Liturgical Rite today at the 9:30 AM Mass. During the Mass, the candidates will stand and publicly commit to the preparation for the reception of the Sacrament.
*Fr. Reilly will celebrate our November School Liturgy on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Following the liturgy, we will recognize our Students of the Month for November. The liturgy will be livestreamed on our school Facebook page.
*Our Student Council will be hosting a trivia game show on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. We will be selling snacks during that time as well (1.00 each).
*Wednesday is an early dismissal at 12:00 PM (as a reminder, there is no CARES). There is no school next Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving Break. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29th. Happy Thanksgiving!
*There are no band lessons this Wednesday; the next lesson date is Wednesday, December 1st.
*Christmas paint kit orders are due by Monday; the flyer is here.
*CARES Fun Friday forms for December are due this Tuesday.
*St. Jerome School is collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Donations may be brought to school through December 10th.
*The first trimester ends on Wednesday; the second trimester will begin on Monday, November 29th. Report cards for the first trimester (K-8th) will be available on OptionC on Friday, December 10th.
*A Strategic Planning Task Force for the Executive Board of Elementary Education (EBEE) has been established. In an effort to gain a broad perspective on how the EBEE can best support Catholic elementary education, the attached survey seeks your input. The survey link to the survey is here: https://forms.gle/4dyeozUYpHpweKXf8 The survey will remain open until December 3, 2021.
*Picture retake day is on Wednesday, December 1st. Any student who was absent on picture day or would like pictures retaken may have them done on the morning of December 1st. If you already purchased pictures, please return the original pictures on that day. If you need the picture form, you may request one from the school office or get one here. (8th graders have a different packet which is also available in the school office or here).

Student Health Reminders
If your child tests positive for COVID-19 or is a close contact to a person who tests positive for COVID-19, please contact us. We will seek advisement from the Philadelphia Department of Health and give you direction.
Our reopening plan calls on every member of the school community to support our values of mutual respect, integrity, willingness to sacrifice for the common good and foster community bonds across generations. Commitment to the policies will assist in protecting the health and welfare of all members of our school community.
In an effort to keep all children safe, we ask that Parents monitor their children’s Health daily. Below are the expectations related to the health monitoring.
I attest to :
Fever of 100.4 or above,
chills,
Cough,
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing,
Fatigue,
Muscle or body aches,
Headache,
New loss of taste or smell,
Sore throat,
Congestion or runny nose,
Nausea or vomiting,
Diarrhea,
My child has not had any contact with anyone with COVID
I am following all CDC recommended guidelines and limiting my/my child’s exposure to risks such as above
If any of these symptoms present, please keep your child from school and contact the school. If the symptoms are serious please seek immediate medical attention.
We will keep you informed if the list of symptoms, listed above, changes in any way.
