Howard Gardner

  • He was born in Scranton/ PA on July 11,1943.
  • His parents were refugees from Nazi Germany.
  • As a child he was an avid reader and loved music, he later become a gifted pianist.
  • As a young man be enrolled at Harvard University and found it an exhilarating place for learning.


  • Howard Gardner is the John H. and Elisabeth A. Hobbs Professor of cognition and education at Harvard Graduate school of education. He's also a adjunct professor.


  • Bringing forward evidence to show that at any one time child may be at very different stages for example, in number development and Spatial Nisual maturation, Howard Gardner has successful undermined the idea that knowledge at one particular developmental stage hangs together in a structured whole.
