From Your Superintendent
Hornet Nation,
Just about one year ago, I was offered the opportunity to become a part of Hornet Nation. Right alongside of being a classroom teacher, it is the best professional decision I ever made.
On this journey, I've learned what it means to be a Hornet. It means you are honorable, with a high sense of duty and a regard for what is right. It means you are open to new learning, even when it is uncomfortable or hard. It means you are respectful, of people, of rich history, and of our future. It means you are neighborly -- you take care of those around you, and rally together when needed. It means you are engaged, with learning and with our community. And last but not least, it means you are trustworthy; your word is your bond.
As we look to celebrate the traditional end-of-year milestones, let's also celebrate that we are Hornets. It is what makes us special.
In partnership and with Hornet Pride,
Judy

Health Information
COVID-19 protocols for positive cases, staff or student:
- With a positive case, the person must isolate for 5 days and not attend or be in school. In counting those days, the first date of symptoms (or the test, if no symptoms) is day 0.
- The COVID-positive person may return to school on Day 6, assuming symptoms are subsiding. We recommend, but do not require, masking for days 6-10 in school.
We are also attaching a handy resource from public health officials that provides guidance on when to keep a child home from school in a variety of illness-related situations.
