A message from Ms. Lilly

Brrrrrr!!!
We survived the week, even with the chance of snow! As I watched the news seeing Washington, DC dealing with ice and snow Thursday morning, it brought back memories of our snow event two years ago. I would have never imagined that we would face the threat of snow and ice again! Thank you all for your support with our adjusted schedule. Students and teachers embraced the changes and learning still occurred!
Bzzzzzz!!!!
It was a very exciting week at RNE! Our kindergarten enjoyed a visit Roswell Police Officer Ray, and the students were extremely excited about his visit! We also had our spelling bee Tuesday morning. Congratulations to Roswell North’s new spelling bee champion, Gowtham Magesh, who is in Mr. Weigand’s 5th grade class. The first runner up was Kyle Krug, who is in Ms. Schindler’s 5th grade class. Congratulations to all of the contestants, and best of luck to Gowtham as he competes in the Fulton County Spelling Bee, which will take place next Saturday, January 30 2015 at Heards Ferry Elementary School at 9am. I know he will make us proud!

Making learning fun!
There are sharks in the building!!!
Students have been busy earning their Shark Bucks for our Science Lab. I am pleased to announce we have added Southern Aquatics to our business partner list. This is a locally owned family business located off of Holcomb Bridge in the Roswell Town Center. Owners Taylor and Ashley will be donating the shark eggs for our tank! This business carries many items to support our work with the shark project. We will be able to use the money raised to support the care and growth of our sharks.
