Hello, Kia ora, Chomreabsour, Mālo ni, Ni hao, Kia orāna, Talofa lava, Namaste, Hola, Hallo, Chào bạn, Bula Vinaka, Kumusta, Guten Tag, Mālō e lelei , An-nyeong-ha-se-yo, greetings to all our School Families.

From the Principal’s Desk

Tena koutou katoa

Firstly, I would like to thank the School Community for their response with Monday’s school closure. Your support and cooperation was greatly appreciated. As a Board of Trustees the last thing we ever want to do is close the school, however after weighing up the facts and the risk potential we knew we had to make this call. We commend the Police for all of their hard mahi throughout the day.

I would like to acknowledge the hard work of our newly formed Fundraising Committee, who ran a successful School Disco last night. It was great to see all the smiley faces and bright colours as well as the dance moves from the teachers.

We are looking forward to the 2022 Stanley Avenue School Cross Country this Thursday 18th August at Boyd Park. Please note the date change, this is due to a number of staff off sick currently. Included in today's newsletter is starting times and essential information.

Thank you for your continued support of Stanley Avenue School.

Our new Board of Trustees have taken office as of the 10th August. Their first meeting will be Monday 22nd August.

Good bye to Lori Potts elected in 2014 and Sharon Coombe elected in 2016, who decided not to run for the Board again this year after their children have graduated from Stanley Avenue School and gone on to College. A huge thank you to these wonderful ladies, for their time, expertise and passion for our school. Lori has been integral in gaining key funding for our school and helped drive our property initiatives. Sharon has provided great financial guidance and advice. We will miss these ladies greatly.

Dont forget your Yummy Apple Stickers and Bags!!!

This year is the 25th anniversary for the Yummy Apple Sticker Promotion. For the next two terms Stanley Ave will be taking part in this promotion to try and earn some amazing sports equipment!

All you need to do is purchase any of the Yummy apple varieties and bring the stickers to school! Alternatively, if you purchase a bag of these apples, send the cut out from the bag to school.

Every point counts!

1 sticker = 1 point

1 cut out = 10 points

If you have any questions, please contact Miss Williams in Room 7.

Uniform Room is open on Wednesday Mornings 8.30-9.30am. Eftpos available.

Please upload our new Hero App!

The old school app will be deleted in the coming weeks as we have our new and improved Hero App. Please download this using Google Apps or Play store and login using your email address to view your account. If you encounter any problems uploading or logging in, please contact Kim at the office 07 8848479 or Di Meyler. It is vitally important that we have an email address for each parent/caregiver, so you can have independent access to messages and insight into your child's learning at Stanley Avenue. Please contact the office to update details.

Thank you
