Characterizaction Analysis
Dee
*Quote that Best Reprersents:
-"She thinks her sister has held life always in the life palm of one hand, "no" is a word the world never learned to say to her." "Dee is lighter than Maggie, with nicer hair and a fuller figure. She's a woman now, though sometimes I forget."
*Type of Character: Round & Static
-Explantion/Reasoning: Dee is more of a round person becuase she has depth, you can describer her in more than one or two words. Example: Dee is something kinda like spoiled and you can tell because the story tells you that "Mgaiie thinks her sister had held life in the palm of one hand, that "no" is a word the world never learned to say to her." Also Dee trys to be a know it all, becuase she says "Maggie can't apperciate these quilts" like she knows what Maggie can and can't do. Dee is rude in ways, and she trys to be a rich looking person like she only cares about her self. SHe static because she stays the same she dont change. Dee is a person of her own with her own idea's, and she is educated and forces her idea's on her family because they never had much of an education.
*Type of Characterization: Direct
-Explanation/Reasoning:The quote that best discribes Dee gives it away that she is direct because it lets you know that she is spoiled in ways and that she gets whats she wants 'cause it says "..."no" is a word the world never learned to say to her" In the story "Everyday Use" it gives it away on what Dee is like and what kind of person she is, you don't have to read between the lines to be able to figure it out on who she is and what shes like. Also it says "Dee is lighter than Maggie, with nicer hair and a fuller figure."
