Mesopotamia's Civilization
A civilization is a complex society that have their own organized government, art, religion, class divisions, and a writing system.
The Mesopotamians had 3 social classes. The upper class, the middle class, and the lower class
The upper class
The upper class consists of kings, priests, preistesses, warriors, and government officials.
The middle class
The middle class consists of artisians, fishers, farmers, and merchants
The lower class
The lower class consists of enslaved people who worked to owe debts
The Assyrians
Assyria's military power and well organized government helped it build a vast empire in Mesopotamia by 650 B.C.
