Testing-Following Spring Break-PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, READ!

Dear Parents/Guardians:

When we return from spring break, we will be welcomed back to school by our Spring testing calendar. Our testing will begin on April 13th and will conclude at the end of May. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOW HAVE 7TH GRADE STUDENTS HERE IN THE BUILDING ON 4/13. BETWEEN OUR SENIORS BEING OUT THAT DAY, WITH SAT TESTING FOR JUNIORS, AND THEN BOTH MIDDLE SCHOOLS BEING OUT, WE RISK THAT CHANCE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO COUNT THE SCHOOL DAY.

PLEASE NOTE: All students in grades 6th, 7th, & 8th need to report to school on April 13th.

8th Grade PSAT Testing, April 13th

8th Grade Students:

On April 13th, 8th-grade students will be taking the PSAT. This is a College Board assessment that provides information to our schools and families on how proficient students are in math and reading. It also helps to predict how our students will do on the SAT assessment, which is given to all 11th-grade students. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments during this time. THANK YOU!

6th-8th Grade M-STEP Testing Dates

Our dates have been set for M-Step Testing, which will be on April 26th and 28th.

Grade and Subjects:

6th and 7th-grade students will be assessed in Reading and Math

8th-grade students will be assessed in Science and Social Studies.

Please try to avoid appointments during this time. THANK YOU!

RAM Pride

Two weeks ago our Lady Rams made their first semi-final debut in the history of the program. Although we fell a few points short, their effort and the support of the community was incredible! There were two moments that solidified the feeling of Ram Pride! First was the head coach of the women's basketball program at MSU, Suzy Merchant, having her players come out of the tunnel to see the sea of orange. The look in her player's eyes said it all. The second affirmation came from the director of the MHSAA, Mark Uyl. In his history with the MHSAA, he had never seen a community crowd as large as the contingent that traveled from Rockford. Our community was very well represented, and our girls played an incredible game! There was so much to be proud of!

RPS Spanish Speaking Families

On the Rockford Public Schools' website, under the Family Resources tab and then under “Family Access” is a bullet titled “Herramientas de Recursos” which translates to “Resource Tools”. This link provides Spanish-speaking families and students an FAQ and several 60-second videos navigating many facets of Family Access/Skyward. Please note there are some videos that do not pertain to what our district offers in English, however, we do not have the ability to edit the contents of this specific link.
