Principal's Den
I hope you are all healthy and doing well. This week our PTA is hosting our Cloverdale Book Fair. Our students are able to purchase books and other fun items during their scheduled class time or during their recess.
This past Saturday our Cloverdale Choir participated in our district's Hispanic Heritage celebration at Moreno Valley High School. Our kids put on a great performance and made us all proud. Thank you families for supporting this special performance on a Saturday. Our kids did not have lots of time to learn the songs, but they did a great job.
This week we continue to celebrate College Kickoff Week with activities on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during recess. Our students will have an opportunity to win college swag and learn about different colleges.
It is very important that all families complete the annual information update. It is very important that we have 100% completion rate. Please make sure that you have completed the update or contact our office for support. We'll be more than happy to help. Thank you for your support.
As a reminder, our front gate opens at 7:10am for breakfast and closes at 7:45am. After 7:45am students can enter through the front office. Our back gate is open from 7:30-7:40am.
Thank you for your support in keeping all of our kids safe. This includes respecting school zone speed limits and looking out for our pedestrians. I appreciate you for helping students cross the street and for your patience during drop-off and pick-up. Now that we have our TK also dismissing at 2:05pm we have more vehicles and traffic during pick-up. Please plan accordingly. We are trying our best to supervise our students during dismissal. Thank you for your understanding and for giving yourself enough time during after school pick-up.
Let me remind you that all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, but it is very important that you all complete the lunch application in order for our district to be reimbursed. If your child is planning to eat breakfast at school, please plan to arrive before 7:40am and give your student time to eat breakfast before the start of class at 7:45am.
Thank you all for your continued support. Together we will work to make this the best school year for our lions! LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
