Winter Musical

Thursday night was a great show! I am so proud of the students and all of Ms. Clark's hard work!

Winter Break Celebration

A great BIG thank you to all the parent volunteers that helped make this afternoon so exciting. The afternoon was jam-packed with fun! What a great time!

Top Dog!

This week out Top Dog was Janiya. Janiya likes going to Chucky Cheese and Fridays. Her favorite songs are Bad Blood and Let It Go! Janiya's favorite movies are Inside Out, Frozen, and Peanuts the Movie. Thanks for sharing, Janiya!

Math

This week we finished up Unit 2: adding and Subtraction to 20. The students took a test over these skills, which will be reflected on their next report card.

Writing

We also finished up the Informational Writing Unit. This week students wrote one last story that will graded and recorded on their next report card. The first grade teachers are keeping the book and rubric to discuss during the next set of conferences.

WINTER GEAR

Even though we have had a very mild December, we know that winter weather will be on its way shortly. As your child is bringing in boots, snow pants, etc. please make sure that they are labeled with your child's name. Also, we go to PE, Music and Art first thing almost every morning. If your child does not need to wear snow pants to school in the morning, it would be appreciated if they could be brought in a bag instead of your child wearing them. The same will be done at the end of the day. This will allow us to save that time for academic purposes. However, we willgive them time to put on snow pants before recess so that they are warm and ready to play in the snow at that time!

Celebrate!

By now your child might have shared with you... I am now ENGAGED! So much to celebrate this time of year. I hope you all have a lovely Winter Break with your family and friends!
