Reflections from the week of 1-9-17
This past week and for the next several weeks, administrators will be working through the requirements of T-TESS. Though this evaluation system is time-consuming, we are enjoying the conversations we are having with our teachers and observing the learning occurring in our classrooms. If you are scheduled to have a 45 minute evaluation, be sure you are knowledgeable of the T-TESS rubric and contact your appraiser with any questions that you may have. Your ratings for the four domains will be guided by the rubric.
This afternoon, teachers and administrators took 50 AMCHS students to participate in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. annual march and program. The speaker, Col. Cecil Webster (retired) was inspirational and encouraged us not to "march" for notoriety but engage in activities that will have a lasting impact in our communities. He reminded us that WE are instrumental in altering the outcome we want. When was the last time you aspired to make a change but you were reminded how things were always done? If you aspire to be better or make a change, you have permission to go, grow, and glow!
This is Your Moment to Shine!
