VVISD Calendar Updates
Due to the two-day winter storm, the district will have to make up instructional time. State law requires school districts to measure instructional time in minutes. We must make up enough instructional minutes to account for the loss from the storm. One of the days missed will be covered by extra minutes in our school day and the other day will be covered on April 29. April 29 was originally scheduled as a bad weather day. This day will now operate as a regular school day. Students will attend classes, and staff will work as normal.

Principal's Book of the Month
We would like to say Thank You to First United Bank for being the February sponsor for the Principal of the Month Program. The February book is Chrysanthemum.
Fourth Grade Leadership Leauge
Valley View Elementary School has started a Fourth Grade Leadership League. The Leadership League is a leadership team (similar to the student council) with the purpose of promoting and developing existing leadership qualities in our fourth-grade students. Students were nominated for the Leadership League by the elementary staff, then the elementary administration reviewed and selected the participants. Over the next few months, the Leadership League will participate in on-campus activities and service projects. Congratulations to the following fourth-grade students who were selected:
Victoria Ahmed, Haide Aguilera, Damian Arvizu, Jaden Carroll, Brecken Darby, Haley Davis, Marle Davis, Delaney Ford, Bryan Luna, Kayle Maldonado, Tristan Singleton, and Addie Truhe.
Use the Parent Portal to monitor your student's grades.
