Halloween Guidelines
October 31st
Very important message about costumes. We are very excited to see all of the creative, scary and fun costumes your students will wear for Halloween. We do have some rules and expectations around costumes. All the same daily student attire guidelines still apply, but in addition, students are not allowed to bring weapons of any kind, wear masks that cover their faces, walk around in inflatable costumes and/or wear large costumes that do not allow you to sit at student desks. If a student does not follow the rules and expectations around costumes, items will be confiscated and parents will have to pick them up so their student can have what they may want for trick-or-treating .
Staff Spotlight! Get to know your LMS Staff!
Rose Moe, Teacher
Place of Birth: Long Beach, CA
Years at Lincoln: 18.1925....
Favorite Educator: I am grateful for my high school coach, Jeff McAuley, who didn't cut me from the track team after I got lost on a 6 mile run because I was too slow to keep up. Coach McAuley believed everyone was an asset to the team no matter their skill level. The work ethic instilled as a young athlete still resonates with how I take on each day. I ended up lettering my freshman year and went on to run at USC.
Fun Fact: I can play the piano.
Jace Bandy, Teacher
Place of Birth: Thousand Oaks, CA
Years at Lincoln: 6
Favorite Educator: My favorite teacher was my 5th grade teacher Ms. Lisa Henningsen. She was super patient and kind. She saw the potential in me that I did not see in myself. She really encouraged me to make mistakes and learn from them.
Fun Fact: Twins run in my family. I am the third generation of fraternal twins. My twin and I have the same exact birth time.

California Healthy Kids Survey
The purpose of this survey is to obtain information from the students about their knowledge, attitudes, and behavior about things that affect learning. It deals with such issues as truancy, safety, harassment, substance use, school connectedness, and learning supports. Students will first answer a question about their current learning situation and then be directed to questions appropriate for that situation.
Student participation is voluntary. It is also very important.
This is an anonymous survey. It is designed so that no one can be identified from the data. Students do not have to respond to any questions that they feel could be used to identify them.
All questions apply to this school only.
The results are for the use of the district. CDE and WestEd will preserve the data confidentiality and refer any data requests to the district.
We will be administering the survey to your students during the week off November 13-17. Please complete the consent form below if you want to opt your student out.
Passive Consent Form/Permiso Pasivo
There is also a parent component to the survey. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey to share your perception of the school to guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, and improve student achievement. Instructions for accessing the survey can be found in this letter (Spanish).

You also have the option to participate in the interview with your student.
Participation in this study is voluntary, and all participants have the option to remain anonymous. Your student does not have to participate and they can withdraw at any time.
