"A Wrinkle in Time" Activity

Please read the instructions for the following activity.


In your groups, you will read chapter 8. You must all participate in reading aloud. You may decide as a group the amount of reading per member. For example, two paragraphs or a page each member to read.


While you are reading, or after, you must complete the "Contrasts and Contradictions" worksheet. Use an event from chapter 8 that can be correlated with this Notice and Note strategy.

You must complete the worksheet with text evidence. Remember, use a "soft voice" and follow G.R.O.U.P. If you have any questions, raise your hand so I may help you.

If you completed the activity before the timer...

In the perspective of another character, write a paragraph in google docs about their reaction to the contradicting character; did they feel hurt by their actions? Do they know why they acted that way? Will their relationship change? When you are finished, email it to terri.surber@nisd.net.
