Want to volunteer this summer?

Ezekiel Ministries in Lexington is looking for some volunteers to help this summer. Please take a look at their link. They operate out of Radius Church in Lexington and have a unique mission. They really need some students to teach swimming lessons, outdoor living skills and some other activities they have planned. If you can help some, please connect with Shane:

MEBA Construction Shadow Day

The purpose of this event is to provide students authentic learning opportunities in a career field of their interest. Students must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in career and technology education courses related to the construction industry. Job shadowing assignments will be made by based on the student’s area of interest. For example, welding, framing, masonry, etc. Students must provide their own transportation to the job shadow assignment. STUDENTS SHOULD EMAIL A REQUEST TO MRS. AUGSBURGER AT LHS stating they would like to participate. Mrs. Augsburger will excuse the school absence if all paperwork is completed by the due dates. daugsburger@lexington1.net

The shift to 5 days face-to-face is coming

This shift of high school students to five days of face-to-face instruction takes place on Monday, April 19. The school day will continue to begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m.

LHS Color Guard Auditions

Join the LHS Color Guard! Auditions for the 2021-2022 school year will be April 20-23 from 4-6 p.m. at the LHS Band Room. The LHS Color Guard is open to all rising 8th-12th grade students zoned for LHS. Students should wear athletic clothing for the try-outs. In an effort to more accurately gauge the number of participants we might expect for the 2021-22 Wildcat Dance Team season, please complete the following interest inventory. This will assist us in determining whether we will offer both JV and Varsity teams or remain exclusively a varsity squad. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF THIS FORM IS MONDAY, APRIL 26. On Wednesday, April 28 you will receive the Wildcat Dance Team Packet, which contains all information you will need to prepare for the upcoming tryouts in May.
