Department Updates
Lots of Updates! Please read them all!
- District Calendar: While calendars for next year are not final, there is support for an August 21st start date with PD the week prior. Please consider this information as you make your summer plans. More information will be shared as it is available.
- President's Day: Monday, February 20th, Eaton RESA is closed. So, you don't have to come to work (and your keys won't work even if you want to).
- IS Staff Meetings: Monday, February 27. Clerical staff meet at 8:30, IS dept. at 9:00 and PC at 10:30.
- 2-27 PC Meeting: John V. from HR will be working with us on our two department job descriptions. Since our department is currently not hiring any full-time staff, we are going to use this time to review, prioritize, and revise our job descriptions. This will take the entire PC meeting. There will be some individual work to prepare for
- Safety Committee: Laurie and Kim will be serving on the district Safety Committee to work on all things "safety". If you see facility issues that you are concerned about, please let us know and we will add these items to the agenda.
- Nutrition Facilitators: Please welcome Jane Fortino and Sara Jackinchuk to our SPLASH+ team.
- Snow/Weather Days: If all districts in Eaton County (Eaton Rapids, Charlotte, Grand Ledge, Potterville, and Maple Valley) are closed, Eaton RESA is fully closed. Your key cards will NOT work if we have a snow day. If the business office is open, you can use the front door. Please pay careful attention to the weather if you have events and activities going on. If anyone ever has an emergency with the building being closed, contact me to meet you at the building.
- E-mail Signature Lines: Please see the style guide to update your e-mail signature lines according to the communication protocol. If you need help with this, please see me.
- Signs of Suicide Training: Rescheduled for February 24th from 8:30 to 12:00
- Expense Reimbursements: Reminder...our grants to not have the budget to reimburse you for "meeting" meals/coffee/etc. If you have a meeting at a restaurant, you will not be able to be reimbursed for food/beverage. The only time we can reimburse for these items are if you are at an approved conference.
- Time Off: If you are taking time off for sick time, personal time, vacation time, or bereavement time...these must be entered in Aesop. You can't enter the time off after a certain time in the morning so if you miss that window, please e-mail me or Jodi to manually enter it for you.
