Bennett's Medication Pick-Up Schedule - Monday, May 11th
If your child has medication in the Bennett Clinic, this message is for you. Please read the details below on how to retrieve your child's medication(s) from school.
When:

9:00-11:00 AM (Last name A-M)
Time:
11:00-1:00 (Last name N-Z)
How:
Medications will be handed back to the parent in a drive through fashion. Please come through the front carpool line in front of the school to the first nurse. You will show your ID and the nurse will verify your student. You will then drive-up to the second nurse who will have the medication sitting on a table where you will pick-up the medication from your car window. Please do not get out of your car at any time and maintain 6 feet of social distancing during pick-up.
- Only a listed Emergency Contact may pick-up medication.
- You must bring your ID for verification. Please have this ready.
- Medications will NOT be given without an ID.
- Medication will NOT be given back to a student.
- If medication is not picked up by the end of the school year, May 27, it will be destroyed per McKinney ISD Policy.

Tech & News Crew Application for Next Year's 5th Graders
ATTENTION 4TH GRADERS!!! THE TECH & NEWS CREW APPLICATION FOR THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
Mrs. Stallbaumer and Ms. Holderman will be selecting 4th grade students to serve on the Bennett Bears Kid Talk Show Tech and News Crew for the 2020-2021 school year. Fourth graders interested in applying must complete the online application. To access the application, students must be signed in to their MISD Google account. While students are to complete the application and short essays, parents will need to complete the last section. Please note, the application does not save and must be completed and submitted before closing the browser.
THE DEADLINE TO APPLY IS 10 AM ON MONDAY, MAY 18, 2020. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All applicants will be notified by the end of the school year via the provided parent email.

We will be hosting our Virtual College and Career Fair throughout the month of May!
Once a week, teachers will share the counselor’s slides, which will give all students the opportunity to learn more about different career options and colleges and to assess their own interests.

Hello, Parents of Future Bennett Bears!
Have you visited McKinney ISD’s School Locator to see if your home address is zoned for Bennett Elementary? If so, you are ready to enroll your new student(s) for the 2020-2021 school year through our McKinney ISD online registration process!
Registration forms for new students entering kindergarten through 5th grade are available. To access these registration forms:
- Go to the McKinney ISD website at www.mckinneyisd.net
- Click the "Enrollment" tab
- Click the “2020-2021 New Student Enrollment”
While completing your online enrollment, you will be asked to upload the following documents:
- Current Proof of Residency – Must be a utility bill, gas, water or electric, house contract with closing date and/or lease with signatures.
- Student’s Social Security Card (optional - if you choose to not provide your child's Social Security Card, the state will assign your child a unique ID #)
- Student’s Birth Certificate
- Updated Shot Records
If you do not have scanning capability, you may take a photo of your documents and upload the photos in the online enrollment site.
