A Note From Brian
Thank you teachers for addressing discipline issues in your classroom on Thursday when I was out. Neither Dr. Beard or Mrs. Kelsey received an office referral, which speaks highly to your classroom management and professionalism. Beginning Monday, MAP and/or SC PASS testing will occur everyday until May 24. All of these assessments are being taken on the iPad or in the computer lab. As you know, we have already experienced technology issues with MAP, and SC PASS is being taken in the computer lab. My availability will be limited during this time as I will be assisting teachers troubleshoot and set up for both assessments. I ask that you continue to handle those discipline issues in your classroom as much as possible. I will be in the building, so if a major offense occurs, continue to write an office referral and send them to the office. Mrs. Brown will contact me and I will address it as time allows. Thank you again for all you do and your understanding.
Room Assignments Next Year
I met with a great and flexible group of teachers this week to discuss room assignments for next year. The following changes will occur for the 2016-2017 school year. More details regarding construction timelines will be shared on May 17 when we have a meeting with Brian Vaughan and the architect working on our project.
If I have not already spoken with you, it is my intention for your room to remain the same for next year.
ESOL and G/T will move to a "learning cottage" that will be placed on campus sometime late May or early June.
Rhonda Kelsey, Kim and Jo Ann will move to a "learning cottage" while front office renovations are made.
The G/T room will be used as swing space for displaced office staff, conference room, and classrooms that could need the space during construction.
Enrique Saavedra will be in the current Spanish Room (B103)
Ms. Riley will be moving to the current Chinese Room (B106)
Ms. WIlson will be moving to Room C113
Sra. Perez with Spanish will move to room C114

Shout Out!
Mr. Hollingsworth would like to give a shout out to all the PBIS team for their committee work!
Please sign up for a GBE/SLO conference for the end of the year!
To these meetings, you will need to bring evidence of having met your growth targets or GBE goals. Also, for those completing SLO's you will need to bring your final reflection.

Calling all staff members!
We are in the process of building a new website that will launch over the summer. I need your help in making our website the best! Please email me a short biography of yourself. Be sure to include who you are, where you are from, family, what you like to do outside of school, education, and anything else you would like to share. Please be sure to attach a picture of yourself with the bio. Each teacher will have their own page under "Meet the Staff" tab with this information on it. If you need a picture, I would be glad to come and snap one of you! Please have this information to me no later than May 27th.
Thanks in advance, Mrs. VanderMolen

Volunteer Breakfast
Teachers, Please have your students make thank you cards for our volunteers. We will be honoring our volunteers at a breakfast on May 26 and would love to give them a small token of our appreciation that includes thank you cards from our students.
You can give these to Zulmarie Allison and she will divide them and help distribute them the morning of the breakfast.

Things to be mindful of as you prep for summer...
Lost and Found
Teachers, please include in your weekly newsletters that Lost and Found will be laid out on the stage the week of May 23 through May 31st. Any items left after that day will be donated. Thanks!
