Reflecting on Our Practices
As adults, we encourage our students to self-assess so they will know if they have achieved their learning goals, but it is equally important for us to reflect on our practices so we can gain insight and continue to grow and improve, no matter if we are just starting or have years of experience. Check out the link below to read an article by Geoff Petty about the value of self-assessment.
Classroom Connection
Below is an article we shared a couple of years ago regarding the power of constructing and sharing Learning Targets & Success Criteria. "Learning Targets have no inherent power. They enhance student learning and achievement only when educators commit to consistently and intentionally sharing them with students."
