Dear Parents and Caregivers

I would like to start this newsletter acknowledging your support. Thank you for preparing your child for school so well. Our morning pōwhiri, although different from past years, was a special occasion. Thank you to the whānau who attended. I am pleased to share that 95% of students were in attendance today.

Staying Informed and Connected with FCI

In this current climate it is important you are kept up to date. Please download our school app and join groups through ‘Alerts’, follow us on Facebook, or visit our website to stay informed. We regularly email information; if you are not receiving emails please contact the school office (577 0009 or enquiries@farmcove.school.nz) and check the email address we have on file.

It is equally important we can get in contact with you when we need to. Please contact the office if your home address or phone number has changed.

Safe Travel

We encourage students to walk to school, bike or scooter (e-bikes and e-scooters are not allowed to be ridden to school). Helmets and bike locks are compulsory for bikes and scooters. If you need to drop off or pick your child, please arrange a suitable meeting place away from the school grounds, and preferably not on Butley Drive. It is important to note that most of the curb side around our school is either no parking at all times or no parking after school. Please do not use the staff car parks. The FCI bus bay may be used after 3.00 pm once the buses have departed.

Permission to Photograph

Students may be photographed during the course of the school day. Some of these photographs may be shared on our Facebook page or on our website. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed please inform our school secretary via email (janeb@farmcove.school.nz).

Stay safe.
